Health

Demolition, asbestos removal and decommissioning inside health facilities that stay open. Medical equipment removed from active facilities, down to a linear accelerator, without the building around it missing a day.

The sector

What a health
facility asks of you.

01

It never closes

Patients, staff and visitors are in the building while the work happens, often on the other side of a single wall.

02

Zero tolerance for dust

Fibre and dust control is not a best effort in a health setting. It has to be proven.

03

Equipment is specialist

Medical equipment has to be decommissioned and removed, not just disconnected and dragged out.

04

Sensitive neighbours

Wards, theatres and imaging are the rooms next to the works.

05

Staged around care

The programme bends to clinical operations, not the other way around.

Compliance

How we prove
it is clean.

  • Class A & BAsbestos, every state
  • Independent clearanceBy someone not involved in the removal
  • Air monitoringTo show how clean the work area is
  • Hygienist-approvedDecontamination methods independently approved
  • ISO 45001Safety management certified
  • PVA sealingUnseen fibres sealed permanently
The standard

Whether removing a heritage balustrade or a linear accelerator, the exact same attention to detail is applied.

Before you call

The questions
we actually get.

Can you work in a health facility that stays open?

Yes. We decommission and remove medical equipment from active facilities, and carry out asbestos removal inside health settings, with the facility continuing to operate around the works.

Can you remove medical equipment?

Yes, including specialist equipment. Our work has extended to a linear accelerator. The same attention to detail goes into that as into anything else we remove.

How do you show an area is safe to re-occupy?

Every asbestos job closes with a clearance inspection by a competent person independent of the removal work. Air monitoring is used to demonstrate how clean the work area is, and our decontamination methods have been monitored and approved by independent occupational hygienists.

Do you handle the asbestos, or is that another contractor?

We handle it, under our own Class A and B licences. In a live health facility one contractor, one process and one set of documentation is a lot easier to manage than two.
